ST. JOHNSVILLE – Clara Irene Brown, 86, passed away on Saturday February 4, 2017 at the St. Johnsville Rehabilitation and Nursing Center.
She was born on January 3, 1931 in the town of St. Johnsville, particularly at Fort Klock, a daughter of the late George and Laura (Fox) Lyons and received her education in local schools. Her marriage to John E. Brown took place June 19, 1981. Mr. Brown passed away on April 2, 2004. Her working career spanned throughout various factories in the Mohawk Valley.
Survivors are her daughters, Judith Burkdorf of St. Johnsville, and Lynn (Richard) Rogers of Starkville, her sons, Robert (Cathleen) Picard of North Carolina, William (Kathy) Pickard of Texas, Michael Pickard of St. Johnsville, and James (Tammy) Pickard of Florida; nine grandchildren, five great-grandchildren; her brothers Wilfred Lyons and Roy (Suzanne) Sutton, and nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by her parents, her husband, four brothers, and three sisters.
