ILION - Christine J. Brownrigg, age 58, formerly of 23 E. North St., Ilion, passed away on Monday, May 30, 2011.
She was born on April 11, 1953, in Ilion, the daughter of James A. and Ruth (Hathaway) Riddell, and graduated from Ilion High School in 1972. At one time, she was married to Eugene Brownrigg. Christine was employed as a seamstress at Joseph & Feiss Co., Utica. She was a former member of the Ilion Women of the Moose.
Survivors include her close companion of over twenty years, Joe Kalinowski; her sons and daughters-in-law, James and Shawna, and Eugene "Twerp" and Kerri, all of Ilion; five grandchildren, Trent, Zoey, Brody, Seth and Landon; her sister, Joyce Gage, of Ilion; her sister-in-law, Roberta Riddell, of Mohawk; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by her parents; her brother, James "Tom" Riddell; and brother-in-law, Robert "Bob" Gage.
Funeral services will be held 4:30 p.m., Friday, June 3, 2011, at the Applegate-Day & Enea Family Funeral Home, 4309 Acme Rd., Ilion, with Rev. Hans Drews, Pastor of the Jesus Never Fails North Columbia Church, officiating. Interment will be in Mt. View Memorial Gardens, Town of Little Falls.
Calling hours are Friday, June 3, 2011, from 2:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m., prior to the funeral home service.
The Brownrigg and Riddell families has entrusted all funeral and burial arrangements to their family Funeral Director, Don Applegate.
