Christina L. Sedivec

ILION – Christina L. Sedivec, age 64, retired United States Air Force Master Sergeant, passed away peacefully on July 3, 2025, at the Wynn Hospital in Utica, after a brief illness.

Born in Saginaw, Michigan on October 2, 1960, Christina was the daughter of the late Arnold Louis and Janice Sue (Behler) Denter. After receiving her formal education and upon graduation from high school, Christina enlisted with United States Air Force. She proudly served her country for twenty-three years, retiring in 2001 from active duty.

Christina was an active volunteer and Auxiliary President of the Ilion Marine Corps League. She also actively volunteered in different retired veteran’s programs throughout Minnesota, North Dakota and New York. She gave her all back to her nation and her community. Her service was honorable and selfless.

In her free time, Christina was a wonderful cook who enjoyed making meals for her family and friends. She was a beloved daughter, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and most importantly, dog Mom to her beloved Finley.

She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Jessica and Tony Foerster; her grandchildren, Mason and Benny; her sister and brother-in-law, Deanna and Scottie Coon; her niece, Halee Coon; her nephew, Joey Coon; and her other half, Kerry Myers.

A special thank you is extended to Holly and Derrick Day for all of their help throughout this difficult time.

A Celebration of Christina’s Life will be held on Thursday, July 10, 2025, at 5:00PM at the Marine Corps League in Ilion, NY. All are invited to attend.
