Charlotte A. Gokey

MOHAWK – Charlotte A. Gokey, age 73, passed away peacefully on January 6, 2026.

Born in Brooklyn on October 15, 1952, Charlotte was the daughter of the late Osborne and Severine (Christiansen) Sakariasen.

Charlotte was united in marriage to the late John R. Gokey who predeceased her on July 7, 2025. Together, John and Charlotte enjoyed time spent in the Adirondacks and being surrounded by their family. 

Charlotte is survived by her brother and sister-in-law, David and Linda Sakariasen; her niece, Brittany Sakariasen and nephew, Christopher Sakriasen; a stepson, John Gokey, and his wife, Brandy, of Mohawk; her grandson, Branden Gokey of Mohawk; and extended family. 

There will be no formal services at this time. Charlotte and John's earthly remains will be laid to rest, together, in Calvary Cemetery, Herkimer, at a later date and time.
