Charlotte H. Gallucci

February 27, 1931 — February 22, 2025

LITTLE FALLS - Mrs. Charlotte H. (Riexinger) Gallucci, 93, of Little Falls, passed away on Saturday, February 22, 2025 at Bassett Medical Center, Cooperstown, New York with family by her side.

Charlotte was born on February 27, 1931 to parents Erwin and Ella (Glasser) Riexinger in New York, NY. She attended Public School 72 in Manhattan, even receiving the Character and Scholarship Award in the Fall 1939. She was united in marriage to Gerald Gallucci on August 27, 1949 at Holy Rosary Church in New York, NY. Together they welcomed two daughters, Laura and Christine.

Charlotte worked for over twenty years as manager of the Medical and Surgical Plan for the New York City Police and Fire Departments. The plan was developed by Dr. and Mrs. Peter Cinelli whom Charlotte worked for following her retirement from the Plan.

Charlotte spent her younger years in the Manhattan area before relocating upstate in the 1970s. She later settled in Little Falls in the late 1980s. Charlotte’s greatest joys in life were her family. She cared for her mother for years prior to her mother’s passing and was a constant fixture in the lives of her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. She earned her nickname “Gangee” from her granddaughter, Charlane, which her great-grandchildren still called her until her passing. Charlotte would often prepare “Sunday gravy” to gather her family around her. Her family was her greatest blessing.
Charlotte was also strong in her Catholic faith.

She is survived by her daughter, Christine Costanza; grandchildren Linda and Jessica Hawley, Lauren and Michael Earl, Emerson and Samantha Morse, Charlane Costanza (Ermir Ndreu) and Melinda and Michael Schilling; ten great-grandchildren, Lennox and Lena Hawley, Geraldine and Andrew (Brook) Long, Wolfe and Charlotte Earl, Madison Morse, Ella, Kayla and Joseph Schilling.

She was predeceased by her husband, Gerald Gallucci on May 2, 1990; grandson, Thomas Cashman on June 8, 2019; son-in-law, Emery Morse on September 30, 2020, and daughter, Laura Morse on October 1, 2023.
