Frankfort: Charles "Big Chuck" P. Pavia, 52, of Frankfort, passed away peacefully, Saturday, July 14, 2012, at Faxton-St. Luke's Healthcare Center with his family by his side.
He was born on March 17, 1960 in Utica, the son of Charles Pavia and the late Marlene (Kennedy) Pavia, and was a graduate of Utica Free Academy. On November 1, 1986, Chuck married the former Sonya Judson in Utica.
At one time, he was employed with the City of Utica. Chuck enjoyed fishing and watching baseball, especially his favorite team, the Yankees. His greatest love and joy was playing with his grandchildren.
Chuck is survived by his loving wife, Sonya, his daughter, Monica and Miguel Pavia of Frankfort; his sons, Charles and Jessica Pavia, Jr., of Ilion and Michael and Nicole Pavia of Frankfort; his brother, Richard Pavia of CA; his sisters, Charlene Werthman of Utica, and Theresa Oles of New Hartford; his beloved grandchildren, Joey Roberts, Landon Pavia, Audrianna Pavia, and Savanna Pavia; along with several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brother, Anthony Pavia.
Chuck's funeral will be held at 3 pm on Wednesday, July 18, 2012, from the chapel of the Enea Family Funeral Home, 4309 Acme Road, Town of Frankfort, Ilion, with The Very Reverend Anthony Barratt officiating. Interment will be in St. Agnes Cemetery, Town of Herkimer, North Ilion. Relatives and friends are invited to pay their respects from 5-8 pm on Tuesday, July 17, 2012 at the funeral home.
