Catherine A. Viola, 85, of W. Monroe St., Little Falls, and most recently a resident of Claxton Manor, Herkimer, passed away on Monday afternoon, Sept. 4, 2006 in Little Falls Hospital after a short illness. She was born on May 2, 1921 the daughter of the late Naczareno and Anna (Cavuoto) Viola and graduated from the Little Falls High School, class of 1939. She furthered her education, graduating from the CCBI Business School in Syracuse. She resided in Syracuse and Massachusetts at one time but lived most of her life in Little Falls. Catherine's last employment was with St. Joseph's Hospital in Syracuse and she was most recently employed part time with the Mohawk Valley Nursing Home in Ilion. She was a communicant of Holy Family Parish and a member of the church rosary society. A loving sister and friend Catherine will be missed by her sister: Mary Bellucci of Liverpool and many nieces, nephews, grand nieces, and grand nephews. She was preceded in death by a brother: Naczarano Viola, Jr., and a sister: Josephine Viola Butler. In respecting Catherine's wishes there will be no calling hours. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to a memorial service which will commence at 11 am on Saturday, Sept, 9, 2006 in St. Mary's Cemetery, town of Herkimer. The Rev. Anthony Ligato, pastor of Holy Family Parish, Little Falls, will officiate. Kindly consider memorial offerings to the Holy Family Parish Memorial Fund. Envelopes will be available at the service on Saturday. Funeral arrangements were prearranged and entrusted to the Enea Family Funeral Home, 24 W. Monroe St., Little Falls.
