Catherine L. Kubica

Mrs. Catherine L. Kubica, age 70, of Ilion, New York, passed away peacefully at Wynn Hospital on Friday, October 31, 2025.

She was born on September 24, 1955, in Ilion, NY. She was a daughter of the late Edward and Georgeannah Olsen (Duggleby). After high school, she went on to get her bachelor's degree at SUNY Poly in Utica. She worked for Upstate Caring Partners for many years, specifically at the George Aney Residence in Herkimer. Catherine married the love of her life Michael Kubica in Salisbury, on November 22, 1980, they were married 36 years before Michaels passing in 2017.

Catherine enjoyed traveling with Michael on his motorcycle as well as many fishing and camping trips they took together. She cherished their time together deeply. Catherine loved to spend time outdoors. She often visited various restaurants, always trying new dishes. She enjoyed weekly karaoke at Francos with some of her closest friends. Most of all Catherine absolutely adored spending time with her granddaughter Zoey.

Catherine is preceded in death by her parents as well as her husband Michael. She is survived by her son Jeremiah Kubica, daughter-in-law Allison and their children Zophia and Brianna. She loved them with all her heart.

Relatives and friends are invited to pay their final respects to Catherine on Tuesday, November 18th, 2025, from 11:00am to 1:00pm at the Enea Ciaccia Family Funeral Home, 4309 Acme Road Ilion NY 13357. 315-894-8000.

In lieu of flowers, her family asks that you may consider donating to the Herkimer County Humane Society to honor her love for animals. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home during her memorial service.
