ILION - Caroline Bridger, age 75, formerly of London Towers, passed away on Monday, December 16, 2013, at Valley Health Services, Herkimer, where she had been a resident.
She was born on December 27, 1937, in Athol, MA, the daughter of Frank and Madeline (Haskins) Dykeman. At one time, she was employed as a nurse. She attended the Church of the Annunciation and St. Augustine's Episcopal Church.
Survivors include her three children; several grandchildren; and close friends, Marilyn and Dorothy Kalthoff and Chuck Cowell. She was predeceased by her daughter.
Caroline will be best remembered for her gentle, kind and loving spirit.
Funeral services will be held 10:00 a.m., Friday, December 20, 2013, at the Applegate-Day & Enea Family Funeral Home, 4309 Acme Rd., Ilion, with Father John Bassett, Rector of St. Augustine's Episcopal Church, officiating. Interment will be in Armory Hill Cemetery, Ilion.
Visitation will be held Friday, December 20, 2013, from 9:30 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. prior to the funeral home service.

In lieu of flowers, as an expression of sympathy, memorial contributions may be made to Alzheimer's Association, Central New York Chapter, 441 West Kirkpatrick St., Syracuse, NY 13204-1305. Donation envelopes will also be available at the funeral home.
