Carol A. (Blais) Luppino, of 80 E. North St., Ilion, formerly of 313 Bellinger Ave., Herkimer, entered into eternal rest on Tuesday morning, Dec. 13, 2005, in Bassett Healthcare, Cooperstown surrounded by her beloved family. She was born on September 7, 1939 in Herkimer the daughter of the late Leo and Arline (Truax) Blais and has been a lifelong area resident being brought up in Herkimer and most recently residing in Ilion. She can be most remembered as an operator with Valley Telephone Exchange, Herkimer, always enjoying the responsibility of answering the phones of several Mohawk Valley businesses. She was of the Catholic Faith and will be missed by her beloved family and friends. Carol is survived by two beloved children: Martin J. "Marty" Luppino (Herkimer Police Department) and wife Jamie of Yorkville, and Christine C. Nagle of Owego; a sister who was very close to Carol: Sheila Aiello of Herkimer; five adored grandchildren: Jennifer Nagle, Karen and Patrick Nagle and Anthony and Joey Luppino; many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. The family will receive relatives and friends at the Holleran & Enea Family Funeral Home, 220 N. Washington St., Herkimer on Thursday, December 15, 2005 from 5-8 p.m. Carol's funeral will commence at 8 p.m. on Thursday evening from the funeral home with the Rev. Mark Cunningham, pastor of St. Francis de Sales Church, Herkimer, officiating. Interment will be held at the convenience of the family. Memorial offerings may be made to the Scleroderma Foundation, 300 Rosewood Drive, Suite 105, Danvers, MA 01923. Envelopes are available at the funeral home.
