NELLISTON - Carol Ann Carbino joined her loved ones in the Arms of the Lord on June 14, 2018 at St. Johnsville Nursing home.  She was born on February 21, 1943, in Malone , NY to Edythe Paige Carbino and Harold Carbino. She resided in Nelliston , NY .

Carol attended grade school in a one room school on Easy Street (Paul Smiths). Saranac Lake High School was where she attended for grades 7 - 12. She earned her Bachelor of Arts from the University of Buffalo in 1965. She taught Art in North Creek and Fort Plain for a total of 34 years.

Carol was a generous caring person. She was very involved in her community and Catholic Church. She was a secret “santa” to many needy families in the community. She fought to keep the Local Post Office. She enjoyed making cards, all kinds of games, game shows and face painting in the park. She made special Halloween treats.  She never met a child she didn’t like. She directed a program based on the arts for many summers. Pets held a special place in her heart especially dogs. She was a member of the New York State Teachers Association and loved TV Game Shows.

Carol is survived by a sister, Donna L Carbino of Queensbury , NY . numeous cousins, many friends and a special care giver, Christina Russell. Her parents, a young brother, and special Aunt Jean and Uncle Doug Armstrong predeceased her.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday June 23, 2018 at 12 Noon at Our Lady of Hope Catholic Church, Fort Plain, NY where her Celebration of Life, a Mass of Christian Burial will be offered. Calling hours at the church are one hour prior to the Mass from 11 AM until Noon. Interment will take place on Sunday, June 24, 2018 at 1:00 PM in Brighton Cemetery at Gabriels.

Memorial donations may be made in her name to any charity of your choice. Ones that protect animals, such as Ayers Animal Shelter, were of interest to her. Arrangements are with Enea Family Funeral Home, 9 Center Street, St. Johnsville , NY .
