Ms. Carol Ann Bernhardt 76 of 760 East Monroe Street Little Falls, former Stratford and Dolgeville resident died Friday May 9th, 2014 at St. Elizabeth's' Medical Center , after a short illness.



She was born in Queens, New York on December 11, 1937 the daughter of the late William E. and Mary E. (Williams) Bernhardt and was educated in local schools in Stratford and Oppenheim.





Carol was employed prior to her retirement at Redco Foods Inc. of Little Falls, and also ran a small restaurant on Main Street in Dolgeville several years ago. She also worked for Manheim Liquors in the village of Dolgeville.



Carol served her country as a member of the United States Naval Reserve being honorably discharged on November 14, 1987 with rank of PO2.



She was a member of the former Women's Softball League in Dolgeville and was an avid reader and card player. She also wrote poetry and has had some of her poems published.



She is survived by her sons Michael Pollard of Little Falls and Thomas (Cynthia) Pollard of Greenville, SC, her Sisters Mary Day of Gloversville, Linda Brown of Lancaster, PA, Linda Ovitt of Little Falls, 13 Grandchildren, 14 Great Grandchildren, several Nieces and Nephews. She was predeceased by a daughter Marilyn Richards and a brother George Anthony Barzda.



Funeral services will be held on Saturday May 17th, 2014 at 11:30 AM at the Roberts & Enea Funeral Home 3 Faville Avenue Dolgeville. Burial will follow in the Dolgeville Cemetery. Calling hours are on Saturday morning from 10AM until the service at 11:30.
