Carmen Distefano

Carmen A. DiStefano, 79, of Fort Plain, passed away on Friday September 28, 2007 at Little Falls Hospital. He was born February 28, 1928 in North Bergen, NJ the son of the late Carmello and Mary (Lacaruba) DiStefano, and was a graduate of Newark College of Engineering. His marriage to Eleanor Rosenland took place in 1950 in New Jersey. Carmen was employed with the family construction business in New Jersey. After his retirement, he was a Gentleman?s Farmer at the General Cochran Farm in St. Johnsville. Mr. DiStefano was of the catholic faith. Survivors include his loving wife Eleanor, two sons, Mark and Jim DiStefano; two daughters, Elyse Cosgriff and Lori Duzoglou; eight grandchildren, Alexis, Caitlin, Spencer, Wesley, Derek, Morgan, Ashton and Cristina; a great granddaughter, Riley and many nieces & nephews. He was pre-deceased by his daughter, Robyn M. Parker on September 22, 2007. In keeping with Carmen?s wishes funeral services will be private and held at the convenience of the family.
