Carl Beach

Carl H. Beach, 74, formerly of Prindle Apartments, 80 E. North St., Ilion, died Tuesday, March 7, 2006, at Masonic Care Community, Utica after a long illness. He was born on May 11, 1931 , in Ilion, the son of Fred and Dorothy (Countryman) Miller. Carl was employed at the Allegro Shoe Company, Little Falls, and the State Bowling Center of Ilion. Survivors include his sisters, Patricia Sebastian of Herkimer and Lorraine Robbins of Ocoee, Fla.; his sister-in-law, Clara Beach of Ilion; several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by two brothers, George Beach in 1998 and Charles Beach in 1999 and one sister, Louise Brinkerhoff in 2000. Funeral services will be held at noon on Saturday, March 11, at the Applegate & Day Funeral Home, 102 West St., Ilion, with the Rev. Robert Wollaber, pastor of the Ilion United Methodist Church, officiating. Spring interment will be in Millers Mills Cemetery. Visitation will be Saturday from 10 a.m.-noon prior to the service. The family wishes to thank the staff of 4 N-S at the Masonic Care Community for the exceptional care given to Carl during the past two and one-half years.
