Brenda L. Reynolds

Brenda L. Reynolds, age 69, of the Town of German Flatts, passed away peacefully at her home on Saturday, July 3, 2026. 

Born on May 4, 1957, in Little Falls, Brenda was the daughter of the late George and Shirley (Nichols) Sweet. She was raised in Mohawk and graduated from Mohawk Central High School. She was a graduate of the BOCES cosmetology school and became an entrepreneur, opening her own cosmetology shop and serving the residents of the Folts Home in Herkimer for many decades before retiring. 

On July 31, 1976, Brenda married Raymond E. Reynolds of German Flatts. Together, they shared 49 wonderful years of marriage until Raymond's passing on February 23, 2026.

Brenda was known for her quick wit, generous heart, and the joy she found in spending time at home with those she loved. 

She is survived by her son, Ryan Reynolds (Mohawk); her cherished grandchildren, Katie and Theo; her sisters, Shelley Johnson (Dan Johnson), Michele Holmes (Brad Holmes), Nadine Tripple (Charles Tripple), and Angela Sweet-Cloud; as well as several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Brenda was predeceased by her beloved husband, Raymond, and her brother, Franklin Sweet. 

In keeping with Brenda's wishes, there will be no formal services at this time. A celebration of her life will be held at a later date and announced by the family. Her family has entrusted her care to Enea & Ciaccia Funeral Home, 4309 Acme Road, Ilion, NY 13357.
