ST. JOHNSVILLE – Bonnie L. Smith, age 78, a lifelong St. Johnsville area resident, entered eternal rest, peacefully, on Tuesday morning, December 7, 2021, at St. Johnsville Rehabilitation & Nursing, with the love and support of her family always at her side. The family is grateful for the wonderful care received, especially the ‘B’ Unit.
She was born on November 16, 1943, in Little Falls, a daughter of the late Kenneth and Bertha (Danielski) Pryme and was educated in Oppenheim schools. Her last professional employment was with LaSalle Labs, Canajoharie. She loved the sweet sounds and beauty of the red birds Cardinals.
She is survived by her beloved family: three children, Kevin Smith and his wife, Mary, of St. Johnsville, Randy Smith, of Herkimer and Michele Homkey, of Canajoharie; and grandchildren, Stephanie Homkey and her fiancé, Ron Williams, Trevor Homkey and his wife, Gabrielle and Brandon Smith.
She was predeceased by her son-in-law, James Homkey; and her brother, Kenneth Pryme.
In keeping with the wishes of Bonnie there will be no public visitation or funeral service. The family is being assisted with all arrangements by the Enea Family Funeral Home, 9 Center Street, St. Johnsville, NY (518) 568-2300, Funeral Directors Harry J. Enea, Jr., Kevin E. Enea and Martin L. Ciaccia.
