Beverly A. "Bev" Weiss

TOWN OF HERKIMER – Mrs. Beverly A. “Bev” Weiss, age 86, of the Town of Herkimer, passed away on Sunday afternoon, July 30, 2023, in the comfort of her home surrounded by her devoted family.
She was born on June 28, 1937, in Little Falls, New York, a daughter of the late Norman and Edna Coffin. She attended St. Mary’s Catholic School, in Little Falls. She was united in marriage with Richard Weiss, on October 16, 1976, in Caroga Lake. She had an entrepreneur spirit and spent many of her younger years in the restaurant business. She and her husband Rick owned the Christmas Tree Lodge, in Caroga Lake, New York. She later relocated to Florida for many years where she ran her own cleaning business. Following retirement, she returned home with her husband to the majestic Mohawk Valley.
Bev’s love for her family extended to her steadfast opinions and strong convictions. She was a force, unafraid to stand up for what she believed in and her passion for life was infectious. Bev enjoyed shopping, visiting with family and friends, spending time at Saratoga Racetrack and watching the Clemson Tigers football on Saturday nights.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Rick Weiss; her parents, Norman and Edna Coffin; her brother, Norman Coffin; and her sister, Patricia Shepardson.
She is survived by her beloved children, Fred Farnsworth (Nancy), Patricia Oeser (Clay), Lynn Hancock (Joel) and Ted Farnsworth; her brother, Bill Coffin (Kathy); sister-in-law, Sue Gerdlman; thirteen grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, August 8, 2023, at 10:00 a.m., from the Enea Family Funeral Home, 24 West Monroe Street, in Little Falls, New York and at 10:30 a.m., at the Holy Family Parish Church, corner of East Main and John Streets, in Little Falls, where her Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated. Interment will take place at St. Mary’s Cemetery, Town of Herkimer. Calling hours at the funeral home are on Monday, August 7, 2023, from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m.
