FRANKFORT: Betty R. Tarnacki, age 92, a lifelong Frankfort resident, passed away on Saturday, June 9, 2012 at Valley Health Services with the love and support of her family.



Betty was born in Frankfort on March 9, 1920, the daughter of the late Carmello and Mary (Juliano) LoRe. She was a graduate of Frankfort High School and on June 14, 1947 was united in marriage to Alexander Tarnacki at St. Mary's Church, Frankfort. Mr. Tarnacki passed away in 1959.



At one time, Betty worked as a seamstress for Derby Sportswear. As a loving and very family- oriented mother, grandmother (Nonnie), and aunt, she enjoyed a special bond with her family, as life revolved around them. She took pleasure in gardening, walking, cooking, baking and crocheting scarves, blankets and hats for her family and friends. Betty was a member of the St. Francis Auxiliary and Our Lady Queen of Apostles Church.



She is survived by a beloved son, Anthony Tarnacki and wife Patricia of Frankfort; her cherished grandchildren, Anthony P. Tarnacki, Michael Tarnacki, Patrick Tarnacki, Sharon Hancock and husband Thomas; her great grandchildren, Julianna and Jackson Hancock, a sister, Lucy Licari of St. Johnsville and many nieces, nephews and cousins.



She was predeceased by her daughter, Virginia Tarnacki Lindberg and her sisters, Mary Cross and Josephine Palumbo.



The family is grateful to the staff of Valley Health Services and to Betty's special friend, Celia Dunadee for their care, compassion, kindness and support shown to her throughout her illness.



The family will receive relatives and friends on Wednesday, June 13, 2012 from 5:00-8:00 p.m. at the Enea Family Funeral Home, 4309 Acme Rd, Town of Frankfort (315)894-8000. Betty's funeral service will commence on Thursday, June 14, 2012 at 1:15 p.m. from the chapel of the funeral home and at 2:00 p.m. at Our Lady Queen of Apostles Church, Frankfort Street, Frankfort where her Funeral Mass will be celebrated by the Very Reverend Anthony Barratt, assisted by Deacon James Bower. Procession will then follow to Mt. Olivet Cemetery, Frankfort where she will be laid to rest. The family is being cared for by Harry J. Enea, Funeral Director.
