ST. JOHNSVILLE - Mrs. Betty J. (Bateholts) King, age 57, of 39 North Division Street, St. Johnsville, passed away unexpectedly at her home on Sunday morning October 19, 2014.
Betty was born on June 19, 1957 in Fort Plain, NY, the daughter of Lillian (Ramsey) and the late Delbert Bateholts. She graduated from Fort Plain High School, Class of 1975. On August 1, 1998 she was united in marriage with John W. King. The couple had known and loved each other for many years. Her religious affiliation was through that of St. Paul's Lutheran Church of St. Johnsville.
She is survived by her beloved husband John; her mother Lillian Billings of Fort Plain, her brother Donny Bateholts and wife Zorra of Fort Plain, a sister Judy Eaker and husband Ed of Fort Plain, mother and father in law: Wayne and Rita King of St. Johnsville, brother - in - law Elvis King of St. Johnsville and a special friend David Cook, along with nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by her step - mother Louise Bateholts.
Her funeral services have been planned with The Enea Family Funeral Home, 9 Center Street in St. Johnsville, NY, under the direction of Funeral Directors Harry J. & Kevin E. Enea. (518) 568-2300. Calling hours at the funeral home are Wednesday October 22nd from 5 until 8 PM. The funeral will be held on Thursday October 23rd at 11 AM at the funeral home with Rev. David A. Johnson officiating.
