Betty Rose Byszewski

OLD FORGE – Betty Rose Byszewski, age 86, of Old Forge, NY, passed away Monday, December 31, 2018, at St. Elizabeth’s Medical Center in Utica .

She was predeceased by her husband Francis William Byszewski in 1992.

Surviving are her children, son, Steven P. Byszewski and his wife, Carolyn, of Chester, New Jersey; and daughters, Mary Ann Luther and her husband, Thomas, of Guilderland, NY, Susan Overholt and her husband, James, of Herkimer, NY, Ellen Paladini and her husband, Thomas, of Remsen, NY, Kathryn Byszewski and her husband, John Smith, of Ambler, PA and Margaret Mastay and her husband, Bruce, of Westminster, CO; ten grandchildren; as well as nine great-grandchildren.

Betty was a graduate of Newburgh Free Academy , SUNY at Potsdam , and was a retired Elementary School Teacher in Poland , NY.

Funeral services will be held on Monday January 7, 2019 at 9:00 AM at the Church of Sts. Anthony & Joseph, South Main Street in Herkimer, with Father Paul Catena, officiating. Interment will follow at Holy Trinity Cemetery , Utica . There will be no visiting hours.
