Bernard Rockwell

Mr. Bernard R. Rockwell, age 88 of 1435 State Route 29A Salisbury Center, died on Thursday May 5, 2005 at his residence of natural causes. He was born in the Town of Stratford on May 5, 1917, the son of William and Rosabelle (Moshier) Rockwell and attended Stratford School. His marriage to the former Ruth E. Belcher took place on December 15, 1943 in Dolgeville. Mrs. Rockwell predeceased him on January 30, 1996. Bernard was employed by the Helterline Lumber Company of Stratford, retiring from there several years ago. His enjoyments in life were his family and the hunting, fishing and trapping that he did on a regular basis. Surviving him are his daughters and their husbands: Carol and John Baum of Dolgeville, Rosemary and Lawrence Bullock of Stratford; his grandchildren Robert Baum of Ga., Corey Bullock of Dolgeville, Christine and her husband Raymond Palmeter of Dolgeville and Roxanne Bullock of Stratford; his great grandchildren Joshua Palmeter, Zachary Bullock and Richard Morris Jr.; his sisters in law Edna Rockwell of Stratford, Minnie Gardner of Salisbury Center, and Julia Van Dyke of Albany. In keeping with his wishes there will be no funeral services. Memorials may be sent to Hospice Care, Inc., 4277 Middle Settlement Road, New Hartford, NY 13413 in his memory. Funeral arrangements are entrusted to the Roberts & Enea Family Funeral Home, 3 Faville Avenue, Dolgeville.
