UTICA- Mrs. Barbara VanDish Grieco, 63, passed away on December 28, 2015 at Faxton-St. Luke’s Healthcare, New Hartford.
She was born on March 12, 1952, in Herkimer, daughter of the late C. Robert and Helen (Lynch) Griffith. Barbara Graduated from Frankfort-Schuyler and received a BA from SUNY Brockport.
Barbara worked for the Utica City School District. Barbara was also a Jewelry and Hat Maker for Fancies, Utica. Barbara was blessed with very talented hands and an outstanding creative mind.
Survivors include her beloved husband Charles Grieco; her sisters Kathryn Griffith of Vestal, NY and Joanne Boardman (Joseph) of Rome, NY and her niece, nephews and aunt.
In keeping with Barbara's wishes there are no calling hours. A memorial service and interment will take place in the spring of 2016.
The family is being cared for by the Enea Family Funeral Home, 4309 Acme Rd., Frankfort; Harry J. Enea, Kevin E. Enea and John P. Lewandowski, Funeral Directors.
