Barbara R. Tomlinson

December 29, 1938 — July 30, 2024

Barbara R. Tomlinson, 85, passed away peacefully at home with her family on July 30, 2024.

She was born in Malone, NY on December 29, 1938, the daughter of Clarence and Mary Roundy. She graduated from Stockbridge Valley Central Schools.

Barbara married her husband, Melvin, on April 20, 1957, and had four daughters (her girls). She worked at Kraft Foods and along with her husband on their farm in Turin, NY. Barbara's biggest priority, though, was her family. Although separated in childhood from her siblings, she made it her mission to reconnect with them and build close adult relationships. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother and an example for all of us to follow.

Barbara is survived by her husband, Melvin; children, Joni (Phil) Cifarelli, Vicki (Dan) Covey, Judy Tomlinson (Tom Nash), and Valerie (Tom) Bennett. She's also survived by her grandchildren, Heather (Kevin) Wojdyla, Jennifer Storm, Amanda (Bob) Matthews, Allison Bennett, Elizabeth Covey and several beloved great-grandchildren. Survivors also include several beloved nieces and nephews and dear family friends, Louise Riggs, Chris (Tiffany) Petriski, and Pat Vrubel Logan. Our heartfelt appreciation to her niece, Lisa Nassimos, for her support of Barbara and our family.

Barbara was predeceased by her siblings, Clarence Roundy, William Roundy, Frank Roundy, Joe Frederick, Wanda Furness, Pat Hyatt and Jeanette Trueworthy.

In keeping with Barbara’s wishes there will be no formal funeral services. Those who wish to remember Barbara in a special way may consider a donation to their local hospice.

Final arrangements were pre-arranged and entrusted to the Enea, Ciaccia & Applegate Funeral Directors. Online notes of sympathy may be left at www.eneafamily.com .
