Barbara A. (Renodin) Urich

ILION – Barbara A. (Renodin) Urich, age 73, passed away peacefully, on July 7, 2024, with the love and support of her family at her side.


She was born on September 29, 1950, a daughter of the late Anslem and Marjorie (Eustace) Renodin.


She was predeceased by a brother, Edward Renodin; and a sister, Kelly Renodin.


She is survived by her remaining siblings, Wayne (Mary) Renodin, of Coldbrook, NY, Rose (Jim) Sanborn, of Wheat Ridge, Colorado and Joan Renodin, of Ilion, NY. Barbara is also survived by her two children, her son, Michael (Christina) Urich and Jennifer (Urich) Rood. She leaves her grandchildren, whom she absolutely cherished, Tiana, Brandi, Livia, Magdalena and Hannah; as well as her great-grandchildren, Brayden, Willow, Gideon and Matteo; along with numerous nieces and nephews.


Barbara was raised in Newport, NY, graduating from West Canada Valley High School with the Class of 1970. She met the late David “Twaz” Urich, in 1974 and they were united in marriage, in 1975, spending thirty years together until David’s passing in 2005.


Anyone who knew Barbara, knew that she was the most selfless, happiest, strongest, kindest and most caring person to all those around her. She always had a smile and was quick with a laugh, no matter what life threw at her. She had a heart of gold that shone brighter than the sun and heaven certainly gained an angel with her arrival. She will be forever missed.


Friends and relatives are invited to attend calling hours for Barbara, on Friday, July 12, 2024 from 4:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m., at the Enea & Ciaccia Family Funeral Home, 4309 Acme Road, Town of Frankfort, Ilion, NY (315) 894-8000.


A Graveside Service will take place on Saturday morning, July 13, 2024, at 10:30 a.m., at Oak Hill Cemetery, in Herkimer, where she will be laid to rest in the family plot.


Barbara’s arrangements have been entrusted to the Enea, Ciaccia and Applegate Funeral Directors.
