LITTLE FALLS-SALISBURY - Mrs. Barbara A. (Miles) Markwardt, age 71, of Curtiss Road, Little Falls, passed away peacefully on Wednesday evening, February 19, 2014, at Faxton - St. Luke's Healthcare, Town of New Hartford, NY in the loving arms of her husband, Michael D. Markwardt.
She was born on September 20, 1942 in Lassellsville, NY a daughter of the late Owen and Louise (Belcher) Miles. She attended Oppenheim schools. Her marriage to Michael D. Markwardt took place on March 29, 1969. She and her husband Michael built their home and lived in it for forty-six years. She worked for twenty-seven years with Daniel Green Shoe Company in Dolgeville. She was of the Methodist faith and enjoyed puzzles.
She is survived by her loving husband, Michael; her brother, Willard Miles; and her sister, Bonnie Sowizbard. She was predeceased by brothers Timothy Miles of Stratford and Orville Miles, of Salisbury.
Her funeral arrangements are with The Enea Family Funeral Home, 9 Center Street, St. Johnsville under the direction of Funeral Directors Harry & Kevin Enea (518) 568-2300. Her wishes have been honored as there are no services planned. Her burial will be in Curtis Corners Cemetery, Salisbury.
