ILION: Arthur R. Barnett, 56, a resident of Ilion, passed away on Friday, December 26, 2014 in the comfort of his home.
Born in Lancashire, England on June 13, 1958, Arthur is the son of John and Frances (McMaster) Barnett. On July 14, 2001 he was married to Doreen Serbicki. He worked as a self employed contractor and also worked at one time for NYSDOS as a rehabilitation director. An avid sportsman, he enjoyed hunting.
Arthur is survived by his wife, Doreen of Ilion; his parents, Rev. John and Frances Barnett of Louisiana; his sons, Aric Barnett of California and Aaron Barnett of Ilion; his daughter, Amy Barnett of Boston; his step-sons, Jason, Chad, Ryan and Curt Zillioux; his brothers, James Barnett and wife Kathy and Michael Barnett and wife Theresa of Louisiana; a sister, Dorothy Adcock and husband Paul of Louisiana and a special sister-in-law, Regina Serbicki and her daughter Lisa. He also leaves behind a sister-in-law, Mary Joiner and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
Arthur was predeceased by his brothers, Alton (Ray) and Norman Barnett.
His funeral arrangements are with The Enea Family Funeral Home, 4309 Acme Road, (Town of Frankfort), Ilion, NY (315)894-8000 under the direction of Funeral Directors Harry J. and Kevin E. Enea. Memorial calling hours will take place on Tuesday, January 6, 2015 from 5 until 7 PM at the funeral home.
