Mrs. Arlene L. Hart 80 of County Hwy 119, died Friday July 8th, 2016 in Little Falls Hospital where she had been a patient since July 5th.

She was born in Johnstown, on May 16, 1936 the daughter of Raymond and Mildred (Crewell) Herringshaw and was educated in schools in Johnstown and Oppenheim.

Her marriage to David P. Hart took place on October 23, 1958 in Caroga Lake, New York. Mr. Hart predeceased her on June 12th, 1997.

Arlene had been employed by Kasson- Keller Company of Fonda, N.Y., retiring from there in 1997.

Her family was upmost important to her, enjoying camping, canning and baking for them throughout the years. She also enjoyed collecting coffee pots and elephant figurines. With her strong Faith she had a personal relationship with Jesus and found great comfort in it.

She is survived by her sons and their wives Rodney and Nade’ Hart of St. Johnsville, Timothy and Cindy Hart of Dolgeville, her daughter and husband Arlene and Greg Broat of Dolgeville, a brother Harold Herringshaw of South Carolina, Her Sisters Gertrude Mosher of Stratford, Bernice Rasmussen of Montana and Yvonne Littlefield of Connecticut, her grandchildren Colin Hart, Wesley Broat, Jessica Broat, Amanda Rawson ,Forest Dunn, Breanna Dunn, her great grandchildren Adeline Perkins, Nevaeh Dunn, David Hart, and Willow Dunn. She was predeceased by a grandson Raymond Hart and a Sister Rosemary Harlow, and her canine companion “Oscar”.

A celebration of her life will be held on Thursday July 14th, 2016 at 11 AM in the Dibble – Tuttle Cemetery, Emmonsburg Road Salisbury Center. Friends are invited.

In lieu of flowers memorials maybe made to the Herkimer County Humane Society 514 NY-5s Mohawk, NY 13407 in her name.
