ILION-Arlene D. Conley, age 75 of Prindle Apartments, Ilion passed away on March 7, 2011.
She was born in New York Mills on November 26, 1935, daughter of the late Howard and Dorothy (Scofield) Conley and educated in New York Mills schools. She was a babysitter for many families in the area throughout her life. Arlene was of the Methodist faith and a member of the North Utica American Legion and also served as past president of the Herkimer VFW Auxiliary.
Survivors include her brother, Howard David Conley of Mohawk along with many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. She was predeceased by two brothers: Ronald H. and Albert Conley.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to a memorial celebration of Arlene?s life commencing at 2 p.m. on Saturday, March 12, 2011 at the Prindle Apartments, 80 E. North Street, Ilion with the Rev. Robert Wollaber, officiating. Inurnment will be held later in the spring in Crown Hill Cemetery, Clinton, NY. There are no calling hours.
The family is being cared for by funeral director Daniel J. Enea, Enea Family Funeral Home, 4309 Acme Rd., town of Frankfort, Ilion, NY. Those needing a ride to the service may dial the funeral home at 894-8000.
