Mrs. Antoinette Marie Frederick, age 74, formerly of 84 Hancock St., most recently a resident at Van Allen's Nursing Home, passed away on Tuesday evening, July 22, 2003 in Little Falls Hospital. She was born in Newark, NJ on December 22, 1928, a daughter of the late Nicola and Maria Grassi and the stepdaughter of the late Francesca Grassi. She was last employed by the former Little Falls Footwear, Little Falls and retired in 1981 due to ill health. She was a communicant of Holy Family Parish, Little Falls. Survivors include her daughter, Debra Scarano and husband John of Little Falls, her grandchildren, Matthew and John Scarano of Little Falls, a sister, Mrs. Victoria Skibinksi of Schenectady, sisters in law, Mrs. Janet Grassi of Hornell, NY and Mrs. Dorothy Frederick of Myrtle Beach, SC., several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by one brother Toby Grassi, one sister Frances Quatrino and a brother in law, Robert Frederick. Visitation at the Enea Funeral Home, 24 W. Monroe St., Little Falsl will be held on Thursday, July 24, 2003 from 5-8 p.m. Antoinette's funeral will be held on Friday morning, July 25, at 10:30 from the chapel of the Enea Funeral Home where prayer will be offered and at 11 am from Holy Family Parish, corner of E. Main and John Streets, Little Falls where her Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated. Procession will follow to St. Mary's Cemetery where committal service will be held. Memorial contributions in honor of Antoinette may be made to the Van Allen's Nursing Home activity fund or to the Little Falls Hospital Development Fund, envelopes may be obtained at the funeral home. A very warm thank you to the entire staff at Van Allen's Nursing Home and to Dr. Hass, 3 East and the emergency room at the Little Falls Hospital for the loving care and compassion extended to Antoinette and her family.
