Anthony C. "Tony" Scaparo

LITTLE FALLS: Anthony C. "Tony" Scaparo, age 75, passed away on Friday, July 20, 2018 in the comfort of his home. At the time of his peaceful passing, he was surrounded by the love and support of his family. Born in Mohawk on January 13, 1943, Tony was the son of the late Pauline (Zoller) and Anthony Scaparo. A graduate of Frankfort High School, he then continued his education at MVCC. He was employed for 38 years as a product engineer for Rome Cable, Rome, NY. During his retirement he worked for the Green Thumb Project at the Herkimer DEC Office which he enjoyed and made many friends. On August 7, 1965, Tony was united in marriage to the former Shirley A. Caracane at St. Joseph's Church, Little Falls. The couple spent nearly 53 years in a loving relationship and Tony dedicated his life to his wife, children and grandchildren. He is survived by his beloved wife, Shirley; his sons and daughters-in-law, Anthony "Tony" and Denise Scaparo, Jr. and Stephen and Terri Scaparo of Little Falls; his cherished grandchildren, Ethan, Lindsey and Anthony Scaparo; a sister, Linda Shibley of Mohawk and many nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by a brother, Charles "Chick" Scaparo and a sister, Joyce Bouck. Services will be private and held at the convenience of the family.
