Anthony Darling

Our precious Angel, Anthony Marcione Darling, 14 months, son of Hope Ann Darling was taken from us to go and live with the Lord, unexpectedly on January 2, 2005. He was born in October of 2003 in Bassett Healthcare, Cooperstown with his grandmother and aunt Tammy by his side. Anthony was a beautiful little boy, smart beyond his years. Everyone that came into contact with him, loved him. He was always laughing and smiling trying to comfort anyone who told him "no" with a hug and pat on the back. Survivors include his beloved mother, Hope A. Darling with whom he resided with, his father Anthony Spratt of Utica, a half sister, Azanna Perkins of Utica, maternal grandparents, Kenneth and Jean Kasprzyk Darling, Sr., of Ilion, his paternal grandfather John Spratt of Utica, two aunts, Tammy and Robert Van Horne, Jr. who reside in the town of Ohio, Vera Trevor of Herkimer, four uncle's Henry and Wendy Wakefield of Greenville, Tenn., Robert Wakefield of Herkimer, John Wakefield and wife Cathy of Ilion, Kenneth Darling, Jr. of Herkimer, five cousins, Stephanie, Kendra and Samantha Wakefield of Tenn., Jennifer and John Wakefield, Jr. of Ilion, his godfather Robert Lawrence of Utica and many close friends. Also surviving is a special uncle, Terry, his godmother, Roxanne Youker and her children, Devon and Danaea. The family will have a private service and are being served by the Enea Family Funeral Home, Main Street between Ilion and Frankfort (894-8000). Anthony will be laid to rest in Holy Trinity Lutheran Cemetery, Champion Rd., Yorkville.
