LITTLE FALLS – Anne N. Oliver passed away peacefully on January 1, 2016 at Albany Medical Center with loving family at her side. She was 81 years of age.
She was born in Little Falls, NY the daughter of the late Dominick and Rose (DiTata) Izzo. She attended Little Falls schools. She was employed by the New York State Thruway Authority as a Toll Collector and was of the Catholic faith. At one time Anne was the manager of the Cloverleaf Restaurant and had also worked at the Rialto Theatre. To all who knew her she was a loving, caring mother and grandmother to her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was very proud of her home and its cleanliness. She actually took on many remodeling projects by herself. She enjoyed playing cards and going to the casino as well.
Anne is survived by her children, Joyce Oliver of Virginia, Rosemary Derkay and her husband Harry of Ocala, FL, Janice Gorinshek and her husband Mark of Little Falls, John Oliver and Tess Hart of Oppenheim, Sue Oliver and Todd Simpson of Massachusetts, and Barb Strong and her husband David of Ilion; 9 grandchildren, Stephen Paracka, Alison Chunta, Jordan Oliver Poche, Kara Derkay, Kristian Derkay, Matthew Gorinshek, Andrew Gorinshek, Valerie Strong, and Dominick Strong, 2 great grandchildren, Madi and Sadie; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Anne was predeceased by her siblings, Ralph and Angelo Izzo, Christina Morra, Mike Izzo and Yolanda King.
Friends and family are invited to The Enea Family Funeral Home, 24 West Monroe Street in Little Falls, NY on Tuesday January 5, 2016 where funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM with Seminarian Frank Vivacqua officiating. Interment will be in St. Mary's Cemetery (Town of Herkimer). The family would like to thank the staff and nurses of Albany Medical Center for their care.
