FORT PLAIN- Mrs. Anna Mae Handy, 92, passed away on January 14,2010 at the St. Johnsville Rehabilitation Center and Nursing Home. She was born on December 15, 1917 in Nelliston, daughter of the late Gilford and Jennie (Eckler) Hiser. She was a lifelong area resident. She was of the Methodist faith. Anna Mae enjoyed sewing and baking and she loved playing cards with her family and friends. Survivors include her loving husband Bob, whom she married on March 30,1968; her daughter Carol Ann Lawson and her husband David of South New Berlin, NY; a sister Elma Warn of St. Johnsville; several grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her son Albert Caprara ; her daughter Gloria Beaulieu, her sisters Minnie Caponera and Mildred Corso. The family will receive relatives and friends at the Enea Family Funeral Home, 9 Center St. Saint Johnsville on Saturday January 16,2010 from 1-2pm. A religious service will be held immediately following calling hours at 2pm on Saturday January 16,2010 with the Rev. Barry Davis officiating. Interment will be in the spring of 2010 at West St. Johnsville Cemetery. In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made in Anna Mae?s name to STJRNC, 7 Timmerman Ave. St. Johnsville, NY 13452. It is very important that when making the donation by check ?Caregiver Support Group? MUST be in the memo box.Envelopes may be obtained at the funeral home.
