Ann Powell

Ann E. Powell, 92, a long time St. Johnsville resident, passed away on Monday August 13, 2007 at Little Falls Hospital. She was born December 18, 1914 in Scotia, NY the daughter of the late James M. & Elizabeth (Stewart) Ewing. Ann was a graduate of Scotia High School and Oneonta Normal School. She was preceded in death by her husband, Gordon Wallace Powell. Mr. Powell passed away in 1976. For many years Mrs. Powell was an Elementary Teacher for the St. Johnsville School District. Ann was a member of the Grace Christian Church in St. Johnsville. Survivors include her son, Bruce W. Powell of Gold Coast, Australia, her daughter, Jean P. McGoogan and husband Frank of Tallahassee, Florida, three grandchildren, Lin McGoogan of Tallahassee, Florida, Melissa McGoogan of New York City, and Andrew McGoogan of San Francisco, California, a sister, Jean Somers of Titusville, Florida, and several nieces & nephews. Friends and relatives may call at the Enea Family Funeral Home, 9 Center St., St. Johnsville, NY on Saturday August 18, 2007 from 10:00 to 11:00 am with graveside service to follow at 11:30 am at West St. Johnsville Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, a donation may be made to a charity of one?s choice. The family would like to express a sincere thank you to the nurses and staff of the Little Falls Emergency Room and ICCU, for the care and compassion shown to Ann and her family.
