Ann Cairns

Ann J. Cairns, 68 of Las Vegas, Nevada, and formerly of St. Johnsville, passed away suddenly as a result of an auto accident on Thursday September 8, 2005 in Little Falls. She was born October 15, 1936 in St. Johnsville the daughter of the late dr. Frederick Cairns, DVM and Ruth (Finch) Cairns. Ann graduated from St. Johnsville High School in 1954 and also from Russell Sage College in 1958. Ann taught first grade in Las Vegas, Nevada for over 33 years, retiring in 1992. She was much loved by her students and their parents. Survivors include her favorite aunt, Marguerite Finch of St. Johnsville, her cousins, Tom Miles of Lassellsville, Camille Maher of Boonville, Raven DiMario of Rhode Island, Polly Winesett of Las Vegas, Nevada and Vikki Cairns of Huntington Beach, California, special friends Bonnie & Charlene of Las Vegas, and numerous nieces & nephews. She was pre-deceased by a special cousin, Jon J. Cairns. A celebration of Ann's life will be held on October 15, 2005 in Las Vegas Nevada. Local arrangements are under the direction of the Enea Family Funeral Home, 9 Center St., St. Johnsville, NY. There are no calling hours. Interment in St. Johnsville Cemetery will be private and at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers please make all memorial contributions in Ann's memory to either the S.P.C.A. or to the Fort Klock Association.
