Alyce E. Johnson, 83 formerly of 4 West St., St. Johnsville, passed away on Tuesday January 25, 2005 at the St. Johnsville Nursing Home. She was born December 30, 1921 in St. Johnsville the daughter of the late Carmen & Mary (Paluzzi) Peruzzi and was a graduate of St. Johnsville High School. Her marriage to Calvin C. Johnson took place on October 20, 1943 in Mississippi. The couple shared a blessed union of marriage for 47 years until the passing of Mr. Johnson on July 17, 1991. Mrs. Johnson was last employed at the former Little Falls Felt Shoe Co. in St. Johnsville. With family as her foremost priority, Alyce proved her self as a loving and caring mother, grandmother and great grandmother. An avid sport enthusiast Alyce enjoyed the New York Yankee?s and visiting Saratoga in the fall for the races. Survivors include her sons; Gary Johnson and wife Sandy of St. Johnsville, & Calvin Johnson, Jr., and wife Kim of Florida, 2 daughters; Margaret Boyer and husband Dr. Dewey Boyer of Herkimer, & Kelly Walter and husband Chris of Fort Plain, a sister; Rose Minosh of Frankfort, 10 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren and several nieces & nephews. She was pre-deceased by 4 brothers & 2 sisters. Funeral services will be held on Thursday January 27, 2005 at 7:00 pm from the Smith ? Woody and Enea Funeral Home, 9 Center St., St. Johnsville, with Reverend David Plank, pastor of St. Paul?s Lutheran church officiating. Spring interment will be in St. Johnsville Cemetery. Friends and relatives may call at the funeral home on Thursday January 27, 2005 from 4 pm until the time of the services. All memorial contributions may be made to the St. Johnsville Nursing Home.
