Mr. Allison Floyd Darling 87 of 75 North Main Street Dolgeville, Died Friday morning at his residence of natural causes. His son Raymond was with him at the time of his passing.



Allison was born on March 13, 1928 in the Town of Fairfield, the son of Floyd and Lena (Galusha) Darling and was educated in rural schools and at West Canada Valley School.



A Veteran of World War II, and Korea, he served honorably in the United State Navy from June 1945 until he was honorably discharged in January 1957. His service awards included the National Defense Service medal, Good Conduct Medal, United Nations Service Medal, and the Korean Service Medal with one engagement star.



Allison was last employed by the Daniel green Company of Dolgeville, retiring several years ago.



He was a member of the American Legion Post #31 of Little Falls, and a Life member of the Polish Home of Herkimer. His personal interests were in bowling, and he was a member of the Dolgeville fire department and the former Dolgeville Ambulance Corps.



Surviving is a son Raymond Darling of Dolgeville, a granddaughter Trinity Darling, a Niece Millie Harper of Dolgeville, and several Nieces and Nephews and cousins.



Graveside services will be held Friday June 12th, 2015 at 2PM at the Salisbury Rural Cemetery Rt 29 Salisbury Center. Military honors will be presented by the United States Navy. Family and Friends are invited to attend. There are NO Calling hours.

His arrangements are entrusted to Brian A. Roberts of the Roberts & Enea Funeral Home 3 Faville Avenue Dolgeville, NY.
