LITTLE FALLS – Alicia passed away at the age of 88 on Tuesday February 14, 2017 at Homelife @ Folts in Herkimer, NY. The family was ever so grateful for the abundant love received from Judy Stubba of Hospice, as well as all the support staff at Claxton Manor and Homelife where the amount of kindness was simply overwhelming.
She was born on July 3, 1928 in LaPaz, Bolivia, a daughter of the late Rosendo and Maria (Valdivia) Salazar. She worked in the business of communication, namely as secretary at Radio Club Boliviano in LaPaz. She moved to Little Falls in 1981. She was a member of the Holy Family Parish and its Rosary Society. Alicia had many friends at Rockton Plaza and loved to walk in the City.
She is survived by two daughters, Elizabeth Spraker and husband Albert of Little Falls, and Zoe` Martinovsky and her husband Paul of Canada, a brother Humberto Salazar of Bolivia, a granddaughter Zoe` DiFruscia and husband Marco and two great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by a sister, Germana Viscarra.
There are no calling hours and cremation has taken place. A Memorial Service will be held on Thursday February 23, 2017 at 11:00 AM at the Holy Family Parish, corner of East Main & John Streets in Little Falls with Rev. Terence Healy officiating.
In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Hospice.
