Alice Rumpf

Alice S. Rumpf, age 84, of St .Johnsville and formally of Suffern, NY passed away on November 30, 2006 at the St. Johnsville Rehabilitation & Nursing Center. Alice was born September 12, 1922 in Manhattan. She lived and worked in Rockland County, NY and was a member of the Eastern Star. Alice married Walter J. Rumpf in August of 1949. She worked at Lederle Laboratories before becoming a homemaker and wonderful mother of 5 children. Alice was especially creative and generous with her homemade cookies and jams. Her beloved husband of 57 years Walter passed away on January 7, 2006. Alice and Walter are survived by their children: Barbara and husband Richard Kremkau of Goshen, NY, Robert and wife Donna Rumpf of Goshen, NY and their 3 children; Ronald and wife Patricia Rumpf of Baldwinsville, NY and their 2 children; Gregory and wife Leslie Rumpf of Middletown, NY and their 2 children; Deborah and husband William Jackowski of Clifton Park, NY and their 2 children. The family would like to thank the staff at the St. Johnsville Nursing Home for all the wonderful care of their mother over the past year and a half. There will be a burial at the Gerald Solomon National Cemetery in Saratoga, NY at the family?s discretion.
