Ada Montoni

ST. JOHNSVILLE ? Ada M. Montoni, 84, a life-long St. Johnsville , NY resident entered into eternal rest peacefully on Sunday, October 5, 2008 at St. Johnsville Rehabilitation and Nursing Center with the support of loved ones by her side. She was born June 10, 1924 , the daughter of the late Antonio and Julia (Monteggiorgio) Palombo. On June 18, 1944 she joined in marriage with Nello P. Montoni, also of St. Johnsville. She was last employed as personal assistant to Mrs. Fowler. Ada was an excellent seamstress and homemaker whose baking and cooking skills were known throughout the neighborhood. Survivors include her daughter Tracy Montoni, and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband Nello of 63 years, her son Gary and brother Aldo. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, October 11, 2008 at 11:30am at The Enea Family Funeral Home, 9 Center St., St. Johnsville , NY with Sister Johanne of St. Patrick?s Parish. Procession will follow to St. Johnsville Cemetery where she will be laid to rest along with her husband Nello. All are invited to a gathering to follow at the St. Patrick?s Church Hall. The family expresses its deepest gratitude to the staff of the St. Johnsville Nursing Center, Mountain Valley Hospice, friends and others who were supportive during this time.
