ILION - William "Billy" Lozo, age 58, of Clementon, NJ, formerly of Ilion, passed away on Wednesday, October 24, 2012, with his family by his side, after a brief battle with cancer.
He was born on May 1, 1954, the son of David and Florence (Blaise) Lozo.
He is survived by his wife, Mary, of Clementon, NJ; his daughters, Crystal Smith and her husband, Bill, of Buffalo, and Kerry Wedemeyer, of Rome, NY; his sister, Bev Sweeney and Tom Matthews, of Ilion; his grandchildren, Dakota, Alana and Adrian; several step-children, step-grandchildren, in-laws, nieces, nephews and cousins; several friends from Ilion; and his uncle, Gene Blaise and his wife, Ruth, of Herkimer.
He was predeceased by his parents and his brother, David "Pee-Wee" Lozo.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a graveside service on Thursday (today), November 1, 2012, at 1:00 p.m. at Armory Hill Cemetery (Benedict Ave. entrance), Ilion. There are no scheduled calling hours.
In lieu of flowers, as an expression of sympathy, the family is asking for monetary donations to help with final expenses.

The Lozo family has entrusted all Billy's funeral arrangements and supervision to their family Funeral Director, Don Applegate, of Applegate-Day & Enea Family Funeral Home, Ilion.
