LITTLE FALLS – Mr. Edward C. “Eddie” Lawrence, Jr., age 74, of West Monroe Street, this city, passed away peacefully in the comfort of his home with loving family at his side, on the evening of October 31, 2024.
He was born on May 18, 1950, in Little Falls, New York, a son of the late Edward C., Sr., and Phyllis (Mento) Lawrence. He was a graduate of Little Falls High School and went on to accomplish some college classes. In 1969, he briefly spent time honorably served with the United States Navy. His title, Boatswain’s Mate, was last affiliated with USS F.D. Roosevelt (CVA 42).
His marriage to the love of his life, Cynthia A. Tooley, took place on December 2, 1972, at St. Mary’s Church in Little Falls, New York. He worked throughout many different careers, most notably for ten years with General Electric, Utica and finally retired from Remington Arms, Ilion, New York, as a tow motor operator.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Cynthia; his two sons, Randy and Joey; his sisters, Cyndie McCaw and her husband, Todd and Kathy Bellinger and her husband, Rusty; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was predeceased by his parents; grandparents; and ln-laws.
In lieu of flowers, as an expression of sympathy, memorial contributions may be made to Hospice & Palliative Care, 4277 Middle Settlement Rd., New Hartford, NY 13413. The family wishes to thank Hospice for all the wonderful care given to Edward during his illness.
Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the Enea Family Funeral Home, 24 West Monroe Street, in Little Falls, New York. There are no calling hours or formal service planned at this time.
