Anna Musella

DOLGEVILLE – Anna Musella, age 102, of Dolgeville, New York, passed away on Saturday morning, December 14th, 2024, at Alpine Rehabilitation & Nursing Center, Little Falls, New York, with loving family at her side.

She was born on August 31, 1922, in Italy, a daughter of the late Donato and Mary (Larusso) Musella. She attended and graduated from Dolgeville Central School. She worked for some time with Daniel Greens as a seamstress. She was a member of the New Hope Christian Fellowship of Dolgeville and served as the church organist. She loved to cook and bake and would even do so for her many friends at the Alpine! She adored her nieces and nephews while babysitting for many of them. Anna cared for her parents through their many years of life and remained living within the family homestead on Spencer Street in Dolgeville throughout her whole life.

Anna was the proud Queen of the 2023 Dolgeville Violet Festival.

Anna was cared for by her nieces and nephew, Elaine (William), Bob (Jackie), and Janet (John) while she resided in the Alpine Rehabilitation and Nursing Center. While there she received excellent care and developed many friendships. She will be missed by staff and residents alike.

Her other nieces and nephews are Louis (Nancy) Antonucci, Angelina Perri, Rosemarie Parisi, Donald (Kaye) Broccoli, Helene Broccoli, Ann Musella and Donald Musella.

Anna is also survived by many great-nieces and nephews; as well as many great-great nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her siblings, Frank and Lena Musella, Sam and Congetta Musella, Antoinette and Anthony Antonucci, Persia and Victor Broccoli, Theresa and Phil Tamburrino, and Angelina Musella. Her other predeceased - relatives include Daniel Perri, Daniel Parisi, Arthur Broccoli, Mary and Ed Congdon, Salvatore and Mary Musella, Mary Cherubin, Thelma McCluskey, Joseph and Marietta Pileggi, Victor and Connie Broccoli, Salvatore and Vivian Musella, and Janet Musella.

Special friends include Marti, Linda, Pam, Alan, Betty, and Mark.

Elaine and Janet would like to thank the staff at Alpine for their excellent care, guidance, and support of Anna while she was a resident there.

Funeral services for Anna will be held at the Enea Family Funeral Home, 24 West Monroe Street, in Little Falls, New York and will consist of Calling Hours on Tuesday, December 17th, 2024, from 9:30 AM until 11:00 AM. After the calling hours a service will take place at 11:00 AM at the funeral home chapel with Pastor Chaunsey Brown of the New Hope Christian Fellowship officiating. Spring interment will take place at Dolgeville Cemetery.

It is the wish of the family that memorial contributions in honor of Anna be considered to St. Jude Children’s Hospital or to the New Hope Christian Fellowship of Dolgeville. Envelopes will be available at the funeral parlor for these purposes.
