MILDRED ANN LEMCHE, AGE 89, OF 362 W. MONROE ST., LITTLE FALLS ENTERED INTO ETERNAL REST PEACEFULLY ON TUESDAY MORNING, JAN. 14, 2003 IN THE COMFORT OF HER HOME. SHE WAS SURROUNDED BY TWO OF HER DAUGHTERS AND A GRANDAUGHTER AT THE TIME OF HER PASSING. Mildred was born on May 30, 1913 in Little Falls a daughter of the late Charles and Maud (Petrie) Stahl. She received her education in Little Falls schools. She was united in Holy Matrimony with Jacob Lemche on July 1, 1933 in the parish hall at St. Mary Church in Little Falls with whom she shared a union of more than 58 years until his passing on February 5, 1992. She was last employed as a dress maker with the former Little Frock's Dress Factory in Little Falls. She was a communicant of Holy Family Parish, Little Falls. Blessed with extraordinary cooking talent's she enjoyed baking cakes for her family members and for weddings. Her loved ones were a central focus for her love and attention. In her spare time she enjoyed jigsaw puzzles and reading. She is survived by seven beloved children, Betty Hill and husband Leland of Falmouth, Maine, Shirley Wardian of Little Falls, Virginia Gross and husband LeRoy of Little Falls, Barbara Johnson of Little Falls, Donna Farrar of Little Falls, Don Allan and wife Lynn of Cedar, MN., and John Lemche and wife Sherry of Little Falls, twenty five grandchildren, thirty three great grandchildren, and two great great grandchildren and one great grandchild due in July. Also surviving are numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by four brothers, Raymond, Albert, Harold and Robert Stahl, five sisters, Eva, Hazel, Gertrude, Violet and Marjorie and three sons in law, Thomas Wardian, Wayne Johnson and Harry Farrar. Visitation at the Enea Funeral Home, 24 W. Monroe St., Little Falls will be hold on Friday evening, Jan. 17, from 6-9 p.m. Mildred's funeral service will commence on Sat. morning, Jan. 18, 2003 at 11 am from the chapel of the funeral home. Remembrances in honor of Mildred may be made to the American Cancer Society, envelopes may be obtained at the funeral home. Funeral procession will follow to St. Mary's Cemetery, town of Herkimer where Mildred will be laid to rest along side her husband Jacob.
