Love, a deep ineffable feeling of tenderly caring for another person.
Ineffable - i.e. - Cannot be expressed in spoken words. A feeling of existence that is too great to be described in words, only to be known internally by individuals.
We Love You Anthony, We Miss You. Thank You for your life.
May your spirit shine from above forever. God, as always, has chosen the best.

Dearest Vinnie, Elaine and family, I cannot begin to tell you how sorry I am for your loss. Anthony was such a great kid and spent a lot of time w/Lisa through school and beyond. As I think of him now, I see his smiling face and the two of them being announced for Homecoming 2006 as seniors. His smile could light up every corner of your soul. I pray that God gives you and your family all his strength and love at this difficult time. Carmella

Dearest Elaine and Vinny,
We cannot yet wrap our minds around this... we are so deeply saddened. Anthony's friends are together and shaken to their souls... A group of his best buddies attended mass together this morning to search for comfort and share their grief. But there is no comfort for this enormous loss.
He is woven into the very fabric of who they (we) all are. They (we) will just carry this gapping wound with us forever.
We are so sorry.
We'd like to do whatever we can to help...
The kids especially want to do whatever they can to show their love and respect. Please let us know how we can help.
Love,

Vinny, Vinny Jr, Elaine, and Elyse. I send out my greatest sympathies to you all, and the rest of the family. Our family, the Davis's have been so close to you all for such a long time. Anthony was my best friend, he was like a brother to me. We have had so many childhood memories, and he was a great kid. When i heard about the news on Saturday night, i almost couldn't believe it. I was just looking through pictures from pre-k, to all the vacations at Myrtle Beach,to graduation and prom. He will also be in my heart, and always will be my best friend, my brother. I can just picture him seeing me saying, "Broookie" with a big smile and always giving me a little nudge.I will never ever forget him. My thought and prayers are with you all, Eneas. I love you all you are all like my family. May he rest in peace, and if i can do anything just let me know. I will pray for him each and every day.
Love always,

The Enea's,
We are so sorry for your loss our thoughts and prayers are with you all. We love you so much and we loved Anthony, he will be greatly missed. He influenced so many people's lives and so many he will never know. He was such a stinker and I'll miss him so much he was my "Italian Brother" and we have so many memories. His smile was the one thing that is shining in our thoughts, he could light up a town with it. We know he is happy in heaven and know he'll be greeting all of us when we get there. If you need anything you know where we are.
Anthony and all of you will forever be in our hearts.

Our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family at this most difficult time in your lives. As parents, we cannot even imagine the grief and heartache you must be dealing with. It seems like yesterday when the kids were little and attending St. Francis. Happy and innocent. Anthony with his huge smile that never changed. May he rest well and may you know you have the support of so many family and friends.

We want to express our deepest sympathy. We`are so saddened by the news and realize no words can express how we feel. We enjoyed every time Anthony came to the house to pick up Nathan and off they went on their snowmobiles. They had a lot of fun time together and a lot of great memories. Anthony never missed a garage party and he certainly enjoyed life. We will miss him so much. Our thoughts are with you.

Dear Vinny, Elaine & Family,
There are no words to describe the sorrow we feel for your family at this time. We were so saddened to hear the news of Anthony's passing. He was always so nice and polite to all of us when ever we saw him (especially sharing wrestling stories with our boys - just two weeks ago he was chatting away with our Alexander when he stopped in for dinner following his match - it takes a special young man to be able to take time out to talk with a ten year old and have that ten year old hold on to his every word). He will be missed by everyone who knew him.
Our thoughts and prayers are with you all.

I will never forget Myrtle Beach and how much fun he was to be around..There was never a dull moment with him and he always knew how to make someone laugh. Vinnie,Elaine, Elyse, & Vinnie
When you feel a gentle breeze
Caress you when you sigh
It's a hug from Heaven
From Anthony way up high.
If a soft and tender raindrop
Lands upon your nose
He's added a small kiss
As fragile as a rose.
If you awaken in the morning
To a bluebird's chirping song
It's music sent from Heaven
To cheer you all day long
If tiny little snowflakes
Land upon your face
It's a hug from Heaven
Trimmed with Angel lace.
So keep the joy in your heart
If your lonely our dear friends,
Hugs that are sent from Heaven
A broken heart will mend.
You are in our thought and prayers and we are always her for you.

Anthony Matthew,
I'm still at a loss of words. I can't believe this happened. I hope and pray that God has bigger plans for you and you will show everyone this happened for a reason. God Bless You. I miss talking with you and i always loved hearing you say, "when are all your friends coming over!" You were a great friend to everyone and everyone around you loved you tremendously. I'm praying for your family and i send them my sympathy. We will meet up again in life and i'll be expecting to hear that from you again. You always managed to bring a smile to everyone's face and that will never be forgotten. But in the meantime i know you will be watching over everyone. You're truly an angel.
I miss you and love you dearly. My heart is always open for you♥

To my cousin anthony.I could not believe it when i heard about your loss. I was so upset and just thinking of all of the good times me, phil, anthony, and elyse shared. You were like a brother to me. and a great cousin and just going back and looking at all of the old pictures of us like playing in the snow and in our little tree fort in the back yard and you baby sitting me. those memories will never be forgotten. also growing up in diapers til i was like five and you calling me plastic pants. haha and After growing up with you everyday as a child, ive truly relized how much you'll be missed and always be in our hearts. You'll never be forgotten. And we love you and miss you so much. You were such a great kid to be around and made everyone smile. we will all see you again some day. Rest in Peace anthony!!!♥

To The Family:
It is such a strong blow to me even though I was not very close to Anthony, because we were not really friends in high school.
I saw Anthony less than a week ago at the police station after getting a ticket, and we talked for a good ten to fifteen minutes on his plans for the future, and his restaurant he was helping to run. He was so much more mature than High School and he touched my heart with his sincere best wishes to me. I knew he meant them. After he took off, I thought, 'What a bright future he has ahead of him.'
Last night I was informed of his passing and I just cannot express enough how amazing of a man he was. He will always hold a place in the hearts of all who knew him, and I will pray that he is in heaven now, wrestling with the gods, and winning!
Sincerely,

I would like to send my deepest condolences to you all. Our families have been close since I have been around and when I heard of the news out here it shocked me. Anthony was a great person and always upbeat. I had the chance to watch him grow up and I can feel the pain also. Looking at what my sister wrote on here is the truth and as I sit here in my office crying I would just like to say I am sorry for this huge loss again. Anthony is in a better place now and I know he is looking down. We all will never forget him. God Bless!

There are no words to express the sorrow we feel for you and your family at this time of loss. We all have such an empty feeling in our hearts. Anthony has been a part of our family for as long as we can remember and he will be missed so much. He is a very dear and true friend to Ricky. Where you saw Anthony you usually saw Ricky. We have so many wonderful memories that we will always cherish.
It is hard to understand, but we believe God has bigger plans for your son and our friend..Anthony. Some day we will all be together with him..and Vinny & Rick and Anthony & Ricky can play a game of touch football together(our Myrtle Beach Trips).. and Elaine, you and I can cheer them on and we can again laugh and giggle how funny they really are. We love you guys and if there is anything you need don't hesitate to stop by or give a call. You are in our thoughts and prayers always. Anthony will aways have a place in our hearts and we love him like one of our own.

Enea Family;
I wanted to say that although I was never best friends with Anthony, when I heard about your loss I was deeply saddend. I Remember how his locker was always next to mine, and he was in every homeroom class. It is terrible that he had to be taken at such a young age. Being a member of his high school class it just struck me how precious life is, and that God must have a new plan for him. I am so sorry for your incredible loss.

Vinnie, Elaine, Vinnie Jr., and Elyse,
Dom and I extend our deepest sympathies to all of you during this difficult time.
There are no words anyone can express that will make your heartache and grief for the loss of Anthony any easier. He will not only be missed by his family but by those he touched either with his warm smile or kind word. He was one of the most polite young men it was my pleasure to know. His friends were in church on Sunday and I could see the sadness and grief in their eyes. Young men and women too young to experience that kind of loss. Find comfort and strength knowing Anthony is in God's hands.

Vinny, Elaine, and the entire Enea and Tomei family ~
Just as everyone else has expressed, we too were shocked and so saddened to hear of Anthony's passing. There certainly are no words that will comfort you at this time, but we do want you all to know that you are not alone. Your family has been so good to so many people that something like this really has an effect on many people in our community. We all feel your sorrow ~ unless we have been thru something like this, we can only imagine, but please know that we share your sorrow, and will keep you all in our prayers. It's times like this that we all wish we could do more, but unfortunately we can't.
Some day you will see Anthony again, that is God's promise to us.
May God Bless You all at this very difficult time.

Dear Vinnie and Family,
I am so sorry about the loss of your son. I did not know him, but he has such a beautiful smile in the picture. From all that I am reading he sure seems loved. If he was anything like you Vinnie, he loves to make people laugh. That's a great thing. Those are the things you are going to remember most about him as time goes by. Those things never fade from your memory. Anthony is at peace. My thoughts and prayers are with you.

My sincerest condolences to the Enea family on their loss of such a young, gifted, promising member. The Enea family has been there for my large number of relatives (Richie and LaPone families) in the Mohawk Valley for decades and I can only hope their professional skills in helping others with bereavement will get them through this tragedy. As a youngster, I delivered newspapers to Anthony's maternal grandparents, Frank and Mary Ellen Tomei, when his mother was a little girl -and my father always considered the Tomei family to be among the nicest in Little Falls.

Vinny, Elaine, Vinny Jr. and Elyse,
It is with great heartfelt sorrow that we heard the news of Anthony's passing. As parents who have lost a child (albeit at birth), we understand the kind of pain you must be experiencing and share in it. May it comfort you some to know that it may be that those whose time is short on Earth, like Anthony's, is due to the tremendous impact and contributions they and their lives have made on those around them - family, friends, and strangers alike -and hence, their reward awaits them in Heaven much sooner than most. May God bless each of you and may it comfort you to know that He continues to take good care of Anthony. You all will remain in our thoughts and prayers especially in the coming days. We Love You!

I am at a loss for words, especially knowing that nothing will help ease your pain.
I would like you to know that Marty has always spoken very highly of you and your family. He has developed great respect for "Uncle Vinny." Thank you for being such a positive role model for him as he was learning the funeral business. I know you have been very influential as he has mentioned your gift for true compassion many times to me. I cannot ever repay you for taking him under your wing.
I know he wants to help by taking you under his wing right now, as the last few days have affected him in a way that I have not seen before. I hope his presence reminds you of your amazing capacity to draw loved ones near, and of the positive impact you have on others. I realize how loving you have been to my son and I know that Anthony was a very lucky young man to have been raised in such a wonderful family.
I met your son Anthony when we came into the pizzeria last summer, and was impressed by his warmth and ability to set people at ease. His comfortable mannerisms and outgoing personality made a lasting first impression on me. You have so much to be proud of.
I am so deeply saddened, and my thoughts will continue to be with you and your family in the days and months ahead.

We learned of this horrible tragedy while at our father's/husband's wake.
Although we didn't know Anthony, we've known and loved the Enea family for many years. You're a spirited, warm, loving bunch who have meant so much to the community. You've been so helpful and supportive for so many of us during our time of loss. Our father had a full life and lived many good years. Loosing such a special young man like Anthony is beyond comprehension. May you all find peace from all of the love and support your community has shown you and may everyone learn from this tragedy.

Anthony,
I am at a complete loss for words. I still can’t believe this happened to such a wonderful guy. You always knew how to make me smile and laugh whenever I saw you. Everyone who got the chance to know you is truly blessed. I know that God has a better plan for you and that you will always watch over us. Someday I know we’ll meet again and I’ll get to see your big smile that always cheered me up. You will be missed more then you can imagine. I’ll never forget all of our memories and there will always be a special place for you in my heart<3 Thanks for being such a great friend. I’m praying each and everyday for you and your family! Love and miss you so much!

Elaine, Vinny, Vinny Jr., Elyse and family... I cannot begin to fathom everything you must be feeling at this time. My heart and my deepest sympathy go out to you all. It is not supposed to happen like this - children before parents. I just can't express the sorrow I feel for you. I know that words can never heal your hurt, but support and love can ease it. So lean on each other, and all those who loved Anthony. Cherish the memories, for they will keep Anthony with you always. My heart, love and prayers are with you all.

On behalf of myself and especially my daughter Katie Brooks who was a close friend of Anthonys, I am deeply sorrowed by this ever so tragic loss. Katie and her friends spoke so highly of Anthony, his friendship and how he always made them laugh. He was a wonderful friend, student and an exceptional wrestler. My heart goes out to the entire Enea family, as they have so many times helped our family through unbearable losses. I ask myself, why does someone so young with so much life and love ahead of him have to be taken away so soon. I will never understand why; it's just too hard to bear. I wish you all the Lord's peace, comfort, strength and courage. Always remember, you have friends, family and even strangers who feel your loss and will for many years to come. God bless you all. With many prayers and thoughts, I wish you all peace and comfort. Much love from all of us who knew you and those of us who wish we had been blessed and honored to have known you. God keep you always in his loving arms Anthony.

TO ALL PARENTS
by Edgar Guest
"I'll lend you for a little time a child of mine," He said.
"For you to love the while he lives and mourn when he is dead,
"It may be six or seven years, or twenty-two or three,
"But will you, till I call him back, take care of him for me?
"He'll bring his charms to gladden you, but should his stay be brief,
"You'll have his lovely memories, as solace for your grief,
"I cannot promise he will stay, since all from earth return,
"But there are lessons taught down there I want this child to learn.
"I've looked the wide world over in my search for teachers true,
"And from the throngs that crowd life's lanes I have selected you.
"Now will you give him all your love, nor think the labor vain,
"Nor hate me when I come to call to take him back again?
I fancied that I heard them say: "Dear Lord, Thy will be done!
"For all the joy Thy child shall bring, the risk of grief we'll run.
We'll shelter him with tenderness; we'll love him while we may,
And for happiness we've known forever grateful stay.
"But should the angels call for him much sooner than we'd planned,
"We'll brave the bitter grief that comes and try to understand."
Vinny, Elaine, and family, I am so sorry for the loss of your son. Know that Anthony is in God's care now.May you find comfort. God Bless, Colleen

The story goes that
A wrestler stood at the heavenly gate His face was scarred and old He sttod before the man of fate for admission to the fold
"what have you done" saint peter said "To gain admission here?"
"I've been a wrestler, sir, for many and many a year"
The prarly Gates swung open wide, Sain Peter rang the bell.
"Come in and choose your harp" he said "You've Seen your share of hell"
May you forever rest in peace my wrestling brother.

Please except our sincere sympathies for your loss. Anthony was a great young man.He was a joy to watch wrestle and to talk to after the matches. I n his obituary it was mentioned that he was alway's ready to lend a helping hand. After Anthony graduated and was in college he took time out of his busy schedule to go to Ilion school and help my son Jake get ready for an out of season wrestling tournament. Jake couldn't have asked for a better partner and a tougher competitor to work with and we were very greatful for his time. our thoughts are with you.

Dear Vinny, Elaine, Vinny, Jr. and Elyse...please accept my heartfelt thoughts, prayers and support to you and your family on behalf of ours. God will give you strength. Anthony was born on my own Mom's birthday and they were both individuals full of light and love. He is with you still. Your family have been a beautiful example of kindness through the years. We have been neighbors down the street and even though I'm here in Florida now, my spirit is with you all there. It is true that we may travel far but always come home. Anthony is now in God's home but he will be present in everything around you. Love, Monica and the Kozma and Pugliese Families
Please let me know if there is anything I can do.
Native American Prayer
I give you this one thought to keep -
I am with you still - I do not sleep.
I am a thousand winds that blow,
I am the diamond glints on snow,
I am the sunlight on ripened grain,
I am the gentle autumn rain.
When you awaken in the morning's hush,
I am the sweet uplifting rush,
of quiet birds in circled flight.
I am the soft starts that shine at night.
Do not think of me as gone -
I am with you still in each new dawn.

Vinny, Elaine & Family
The passing of someone for whom we truly cared
Seldom will remind us of what all we’ve shared
Rather the countless things that we shall miss
Death never becomes a moment of soulful bliss
And though it is a natural transition of life
It burdens us all with a mantle of sad strife
But while common sense seems to be all asunder
Pause just a bit to study the spiritual wonder
For they are still with us in many small ways
They have only gone to a more peaceful place
Truly as near as an afternoon’s contemplation
Time spent ever so warmly in quiet meditation
You’ll feel the harsh numbing shock of dismay
Pause and let their spirit comfort your day
And think for a moment of the dearly departed
Would they really want you to be so dishearted
As the shock wears off there must be some way
Of finding a reason to carry on day after day
Remembering the joy that the two of you shared
Recalling the bonds that drew you to be paired
The rhythm that fueled your special stage play
And you’ll be able to connect the same old way
Memories alone can take you to a certain place
Where you’ll still see that sweet smiling face
Grief is an emotion that never does quite heal
The harshest of elements that we’ll ever feel
The sense of aloneness visits and won’t leave
With a hollow emptiness that you can’t cleave
But know that their agony is now in the past
And a new destination for them has been cast
There’s more to living than mere mortal death
They have been endowed with spiritual breath
rest peacefully Anthony forever in our hearts, thoughts, and prayers.
